At dinner tonight, Joel let me know I had been "snoring a little bit" during my Saturday nap. Oh how I love the romantic things he says to me.
Annie:
"If you snore that means your nose is asleep."
Elizabeth:
"In that case, Daddy's nose must always be asleep."
Annie:
"My nose is never asleep. My nose stays awake all night."

she's elizabeth. he's joel. the 6-year old is annie. the 3-year old is jonah. the baby is zeke. elizabeth likes books, movies, cappuccinos, michigan football, birthdays, chianti, girlfriends, and lots of sleep. the latter of which she has been sadly deprived of for six years. which is okay. joel likes books, movies, lots of coffee, chelsea football (of the english variety), days off, his bike, and sleep, which he has also been deprived of. he's also okay with it. annie likes reading, art, writing, nail polish, barbies and hot cocoa. jonah likes soccer, music, dancing, light sabers, books, milk and not sleeping. zeke likes milk, sleeping, being held and looking at faces. we live on an island. we travel. we play. we follow jesus.
